Death Midwifery and Spiritual Care
The role of a death midwife is many. From bringing healing presence to the process of death for individuals and those supporting their transition to providing follow up support in bereavement. Pavitra has over 20 years experience in this field. Jumave provides support depending on the individual’s circumstances and their needs.
A cooling plate allows for the body to remain at home for an extended period of time, of your choosing. It is easy to use and comes with full directions. Cost is simply by donation.
Free Advocacy and Referral
For individuals with a life limiting illness or those bereaved who may be experiencing difficulty accessing a service or require appropriate referral to a service to meet their needs. A visit to our Resources section may be all that is needed.
Dying, Death and After Death Care Planning
As a social worker across a variety of fields plus experience in the palliative care area, Lynne will work with you and your family to develop a plan to suit your needs. Conversations and planning do not require an illness and are in fact, best done as you would prepare for any other event, such as giving birth. We do not encourage prepaying of funerals.
Family Led After Death Care - Home Funerals
Practical information and support to assist families with natural body care following a loved one’s death plus home ritual preparation, wherever home may be. Options for disposition such as cremation are available through Jumave and form part of the planning process. Eco friendly caskets are available for purchase.
Both Lynne and Pavitra approach their work with compassion and integrity. It is their aim to support you and work with you, to create a unique, healing service to honour your loved one. Lynne and Pavitra completed the Death Walker Training with Zenith Virago; Lynne also completed the Funeral Masterclass.
Lynne is available to work with individuals and community groups to develop projects in the death, dying and bereavement space, inclusive of the Arts. Lynne was responsible for Paper Garments for the Grave and continues to work within the community to develop projects to meet a variety of needs.
